Resize images to exact pixel dimensions or by percentage with SolveBar's Image Resizer. Lock the aspect ratio to prevent distortion, choose from common presets for social media and web, and download your resized image instantly — processed entirely in your browser.
Pixel dimensions vs percentage resizing
Pixel resizing is precise — use it when you need an exact output size (e.g. a 1200×630px Open Graph image). Percentage resizing scales relative to the original — use it when you want to reduce a photo to 50% of its size without caring about exact dimensions.
Aspect ratio locking
Aspect ratio is the proportional relationship between width and height. Locking it ensures the image does not stretch or squish — changing width automatically updates height proportionally. Unlock it only when you need to fit a specific non-proportional dimension.
Common size presets explained
Open Graph (1200×630): Facebook and LinkedIn link previews. Twitter Header (1500×500): Twitter profile header. HD (1280×720): standard video and presentation size. Full HD (1920×1080): modern widescreen standard.
Frequently Asked Questions
Will resizing make my image blurry?
Downscaling (making smaller) preserves clarity. Upscaling (making larger) will soften the image — pixels are interpolated.
Can I resize animated GIFs?
Static resizing is applied to GIFs. The tool does not preserve GIF animation in the output — use a dedicated GIF resizer for animated GIFs.
Does the file format change when I resize?
Not by default — choose your output format (JPG, PNG, WebP) from the format selector.
