Protect your photos with a custom watermark using SolveBar's Image Watermark tool. Add text or logo watermarks with full control over position, opacity, size, color, and font. All processing is done locally in your browser — your photos never leave your device.

Watermark best practices for photographers

Place your watermark where it is visible but does not obscure the main subject. Opacity between 30-60% makes the watermark visible enough to deter theft while not overpowering the image. Include your name or website URL so potential clients can find you.

Text vs logo watermarks

Text watermarks (your name, website, copyright notice) are quick to add and clearly communicate ownership. Logo watermarks reinforce brand recognition but require a prepared logo image, ideally a transparent PNG.

Can watermarks be removed?

A visible watermark is a deterrent, not absolute protection. Someone with Photoshop skills can remove a corner watermark. A diagonal watermark across the center of an image is much harder to remove convincingly.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I watermark multiple images at once?

Currently one image at a time. For batch watermarking, consider ImageMagick (command line) or Lightroom's export presets.

What watermark position works best?

For portfolio images, diagonal across the center provides maximum protection. For product photos meant to be shared, a subtle corner watermark is less intrusive while still marking ownership.

Does the watermark survive image editing by others?

A downloaded watermarked image retains the watermark as part of the pixels — it cannot be simply switched off. Skilled editing can remove it but requires effort.
